READ MORE ABOUT US

The Black Soldier Fly (BSF) is a common insect found throughout the world. It has a unique life cycle and plays an important role in the ecosystem as a decomposer. The adult fly does not have a mouth and does not feed; therefore its sole purpose is to reproduce. The larvae of the Black Soldier Fly, however, are voracious eaters and can consume a wide range of organic waste, including food scraps, manure, and even compostable packaging. BSF larvae are also being explored as a potential source of sustainable protein for human consumption. They are highly nutritious and have a mild, nutty flavor that some people find appealing. Some companies are already using BSF larvae to create protein bars and other food products.
